1.2 Educational Content
EduOne may collect educational materials uploaded by users including:
- Exam papers
- Questions
- Answer scripts
- Scanned student papers
- Grading data
- Learning materials
This information is required to operate the LMS system and provide AI-based services.
1.3 AI Processing Data
EduOne uses Artificial Intelligence technologies to assist with exam paper generation, automated grading, answer evaluation, analytics, and recommendations. To perform these functions, the system processes:
- Uploaded exam papers
- Student answers
- Scanned answer sheets
- Grading instructions
- Curriculum references
This data is processed securely through cloud infrastructure and AI models.
1.4 Technical Data
When using EduOne, we may automatically collect:
- Device information
- Browser type
- Operating system
- IP address
- Usage logs
- Platform activity
This information helps maintain system performance and security.
2. How We Use Information
EduOne uses collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing LMS services
- Generating exam papers
- Grading student answers
- Generating performance analytics
- Improving AI model accuracy
- Improving platform functionality
- Detecting misuse or fraud
- Providing customer support
- Maintaining system security
We only process information necessary to provide the EduOne platform.
3. AI System and Accuracy Notice
EduOne uses Artificial Intelligence to assist teachers and educational institutions. While we continuously improve our AI systems, users must understand that AI-generated results may contain errors.
Based on system testing:
- English grading may have a hallucination rate of approximately 4% – 7%
- Sinhala grading may occasionally show higher error rates due to handwriting clarity, scanning quality, or character readability
AI results should be reviewed and verified by teachers before finalizing academic decisions. EduOne is designed to assist teachers, not replace professional academic judgment.
4. Use of Educational Content for AI Improvement
EduOne may use uploaded educational materials to improve its AI systems. However:
- Data is used anonymously
- Personal identifiers are removed
- Educational content may be used for model training and system improvement
This process helps improve grading accuracy, question generation, and analytics.
5. Data Storage and Security
EduOne stores data using Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure. Security measures include:
- Encrypted data transmission
- Secure cloud infrastructure
- Restricted system access
- Monitoring for security threats
While EduOne implements strong safeguards, no online platform can guarantee absolute security. Users acknowledge this inherent risk when using cloud-based services.
6. Wallet and Payment Information
EduOne uses a Point-Based Wallet System. 1 Point = 1 LKR. Points are used for accessing certain features on the platform.
Wallet top-ups may occur through Bank Transfer or Integrated Payment Gateway (IPG).
EduOne does not store sensitive banking credentials such as credit card numbers when processed through third-party payment gateways. Points purchased are non-refundable and cannot be converted back to cash.
7. Children's Privacy
EduOne is designed for educational use and may be used by students from approximately 8 years of age to university level. Students under legal adulthood may use EduOne:
- Under supervision of teachers
- Under supervision of parents
- Through institutional accounts
EduOne does not knowingly collect unnecessary personal data from children beyond what is required for educational use.
8. Data Sharing
EduOne does not sell user data. Information may only be shared in limited circumstances:
- With cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure
- With payment gateway providers for wallet transactions
- When required by law
- To protect system security
Any third-party services are required to maintain confidentiality and security.
9. Data Retention
EduOne retains data only for as long as necessary to:
- Operate the platform
- Support educational services
- Maintain system integrity
- Comply with legal obligations
Users may request deletion of accounts where applicable.
10. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Protecting their account credentials
- Ensuring uploaded materials comply with laws
- Reviewing AI-generated grading results before use
- Ensuring academic decisions are verified by educators
EduOne is not responsible for misuse of the platform by users.
11. Changes to Privacy Policy
EduOne may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Updated policies will be published on the platform. Continued use of EduOne indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
